Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
Explain the basis for sound citizenship fundamentals in preparing students for the demands of the 21st Century.
Connect sound citizenship education to the philosophy of the Pennsylvania Standards Aligned System.
Practice implementation of the Keystone Programs and understand their inherent value in building effective civics education.
Connect Keystone Programs as vital resources in the Curriculum Framework of the Standards Aligned System.
Identify local, regional, commonwealth, national and global issues of importance to students and how they meet the spirit of the Curriculum Framework for Civics within the Standards Aligned System.

Requirements for Participants: Lesson Plan or Unit Plan or Curriculum for Civics or social studies course that integrates civics content; be sure to bring a laptop or schedule use of a computer lab
