Purpose: To share the Pennsylvania Department of Education's vision for Standards Aligned Systems and ask relevant stakeholders to partner with PDE to align relevant resources and materials to the overall vision of civic learning in Pennsylvania.
Parking
A discounted parking rate will be provided to those guests able to park in the Center’s underground lot located between 5th and 6th Streets on Race Street, entrance on Race Street. Due to the limited availability of parking spaces in the Center’s garage, we encourage you to arrive early and carpool with other attendees of the conference to ensure convenient parking accommodations. Discounted parking vouchers will be available at the Registration Table. Be sure to mention that you parked in the Center’s garage to receive your parking voucher.
Driving Directions
From the South: Take I-95 North to Exit 22 for "Central Phila/I-676." Follow signs for Phila/Independence Hall/Callowhill Streets. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Stay straight on Callowhill Street and turn left onto 8th Street. Take 8th Street to Race Street and turn left. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the National Constitution Center bus arrival facility or parking garage.*
From the North: Take I-95 South to Exit 22 for "Central Phila/I-676." Follow signs for Phila/Independence Hall/Callowhill Streets and make a right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. Stay straight on Callowhill Street and turn left onto 8th Street. Take 8th Street to Race Street and turn left. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the National Constitution Center bus arrival facility or parking garage.*
From the West: Take I-76 (PA Turnpike) to Exit 326 for "Valley Forge." Follow signs for Philadelphia I-76 East. Remain on I-76 East for about 25 miles until you see signs for Exit 344 "Central Phila" and take 676 East to the 8th Street exit. Make a right onto 8th Street and then a left onto Race Street. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the National Constitution Center bus arrival facility or parking garage.*
From the East: Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 4. Take Rt. 73 North to Rt. 38 West to US 30 and continue on US 30 West over the Ben Franklin Bridge (Rt. 676), crossing into Philadelphia. Stay in the left lane and go straight through the light following the sign for "8th Street South/Chinatown." Take a left onto 8th Street, and another left onto Race Street. Proceed through the light at 6th Street and turn right into the National Constitution Center bus arrival facility or parking garage.
Breakfast and Lunch
Coffee and light breakfast items will be available before the conference begins. Complimentary lunch vouchers will be provided for a meal in Delegates Cafe. You will receive your lunch voucher at the registration table upon arrival. You simply present your voucher at the check-out register in the Café.
Tour of the National Constitution Center
All attendees will have the opportunity to view the Center’s award-winning theatrical presentation, “Freedom Rising,” receive a guided tour of over 100 interactive exhibits in the Center’s main exhibit, and walk through Signers’ Hall.
